What do our clients think of LFS???

I work for Synaptic Digital (formerly Medialink), and my number one client is General Motors.  We work for their communication teams producing videos for broadcast, Web and internal use. I have been the executive producer on this account for over nine years. Seven years ago I was fortunate to hire Averill Townsend as a free-lance camera operator. Since then he’s been my number one cameraman and DP.

We’ve worked fast at events like auto shows. We’ve done difficult, on the road, shoots outdoors in rain, wind, glaring sun and darkness. We’ve shot one-on-one interviews with executives and large press conferences. I’ve never worried that I wasn’t going to get the shot when Averill was behind the camera. Which has been incredibly valuable as it’s freed me to concentrate on the client.

Averill is experienced and flexible. He easily transitions from run-and-gun “news” style shooting to “documentary” style, with exact lighting and perfect audio skills. He and I have worked together so long and so well that I often ask him to produce interviews and running footage for me when I can’t be there. He has tremendous “client” skills, and always represents my interests well.

Averill brings three important things to the party. Number one, he works incredibly hard and tries to anticipate your needs (unique in this business). He has a wealth of experience, not only as a videographer, but as an editor, producer and photographer – all of which makes him valuable in a variety of circumstances. Finally he’s a team player.  He’s not afraid to offer an opinion, but when the producer makes the call he’s totally on board, and works to create the optimal outcome.

Sincerely,
Christopher Hansen
VP / Executive Producer
Synaptic Digital

For over 20 years I have used the professional services of Averill Townsend of Live Film Services for a variety of
Industrial/corporate projects. As a director and cameraman in both video and still photography, Averill has been
an outstanding resource for Marcom and our clients - offering exceptional professionalism, attention-to-detail,
quality and value.

In fact, Averill is not just a 'shooter'. He possesses a keen eye for composition, yet is well-versed in technical aspects
of modern coventional and HD photography and lighting. As a director, he manages almost every aspect of the progect
from location scouting, crew and talent coordination, live interviews, script writing and, of course final post production.

That he is so well versed and talented across a full range of production elements make him an invaluable part of Marcom's
success throughout the years.

I am proud to recommend Averill to anyone for both his talent and his integrity.

President, Marcom

It is a great pleasure to write this letter. We worked with you and your company in years prior to 1978, but in 1979 things really took off. It was decided by General Motors to releaseall dealership training and point-of-sale materials as interactive videodiscs. and Chevrolet was the launch division.

Together we went on to produce hundreds over the next decade, along with many more award winning 35mm announcement films.

Your long experience in every medium as a director, cinematographer, and editor is most valuable. More important is your ability
to understand what the customer needs to tell their story and deliver it in a friendly and supportive manner.
